Ahyan Playing in K4-6, Under 500, CalState Super Champsionship in Santa Clara

After a good performance from yesterday's K1-3 section, Ahyan is today playing K4-6 section at the same Santa Clara Convention Center. Here is his first game win -

Ahyan Placed 9th in Cal State K1-3, U500 Section at Santa Clara Convention Center

Ahyan scored 4 out of 5 games. His only loss in the 4th round was to the girl who became Champion in this section scoring 5 wins out of 5. 4 kids were jointly runner up with 4 wins and a draw. Then like Ahyan all the people from 6th to 14th place scored 4 wins and a loss. But in tie-breaking system, Ahyan was placed as 9th. Ahyan's Third game of the Cal State Championship Kindergarden 1-3, Under 500 Section at Sanata Clara Convention Center.

Ahyan Won His First Championship Trophy



Today Ahyan won his first championship trophy in his life. He won all the 3 games in the Bay Area Chess Quad in his group that was held in Milpitas, CA. His opponents were rated 509, 414 and 715 respectively. Here is the first game that he wrote the chess notation while playing, so I could capture after the game.

Ahyan is getting active in Chess

Couple of weeks back Ahyan and I played in US Amateur Team West Championship. Ahyan played in kids team tournament while I played in the open team tournament. It was his first major tournament. Surprisinly he won 4 out 5 games an d was second best performer in board #4. I played bad an scored 3.5 out of 6 in my team. Here is a game that Ahyan played a little earlier in chess.com .

Ahyan played his first chess tournament



 Ahyan played his first chess tournament today. It was a quad arranged by bay area chess. He played 3 games winning the first one, loosing the second one and drawing the third one. He got a medal too. Shusmita, I and Suhaila were there as well. It was a USCF rated chess tournament. I made him USCF member just couple of days back. Hopefully its the start of a kong but pleasant journey!
